The Des Moines Cycle Club Race Team is one of the oldest race teams in Iowa. It has been around for at least 30 years as the competitive arm of the Des Moines Cycle Club. Over the years the team has had various leaders and sponsors, including PIP (Postal Instant Printing), Impact Printing, and most recently, Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons and RDMB Holdings.

As with the sponsors, the focus of the team undergoes changes depending on the make-up of the riders and team leadership. Currently the team is focused on new rider development emphasizing juniors, masters and women riders. The team is one of a small number in the United States to be designated a United States Cycling Development Foundation Center of Excellence . And it is the only team in Iowa to have two Elite (Level 1) USA Cycling coaches working with the riders to develop their skills.
